About Mi Raza in Arcola, IL
The Mi Raza Community Center was started through funding from the Douglas County Health Department as well as other partnering agencies. Mi Raza Community Center is a resource center for the Hispanic/Latino population of Douglas County.
Mi Raza is a place where individuals can go to get information about health issues, jobs, WIC, LINC, translation, vehicle safety, child care and is also a place where those individuals who have newly arrived to the Douglas County Area can go for necessary information needed for setting up a household.
Mi Raza is family-oriented center that has a play area for children, sitting area for teens & parents to watch television or a movie, and a quiet study area for students to complete homework and get tutoring.
Mi Raza Community Center Offers:

- Help with homework after school and in the evenings as needed.
- Bilingual health information for men, women, and families.
- Translation and Interpretation
